A Community Conversation on Racial Equity in Teaching and Learning

An interactive drop-in opportunity to reflect on experiences of racial equity in teaching and learning at a PWI such as UMaine. Visitors will have a chance to reflect on their own experiences, engage with poetry and story-sharing, and view artwork created by students, faculty, and staff. 

Join CITL for some or all of the event.

1–1:30: Interactive gallery walk, reflection, conversation

1:30–2:15: How we learn about race? Story-sharing and discussion (facilitated by graduate students in Communication)

2:15–3: Community conversation about race (facilitated by undergraduate students)

3–4: Interactive gallery walk, reflection, conversation

Refreshments will be served.
