Farm work can be dangerous, but a University of Maine Cooperative Extension tractor safety course will help reduce risks to Maine farmers and farm workers. Individuals will receive practical training in the classroom, in the shop and on tractors. This class will run for four consecutive Wednesdays starting Wednesday, April 5. The last class will be Wednesday, April 26. A written exam and tractor driving test on Saturday, May 6 at 9 a.m. at Union Farm Equipment. Cost: $15–$25.
