A new art exhibit, exploring and processing COVID and grief through art opens Oct. 5 at the H. Allen and Sally Fernald Art Gallery at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast. The show, on display through December, is free and open to the public from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday.
The Lord Hall Gallery at the University of Maine presents a solo exhibition of the work of artist Christina Thwaites titled "Surrender." The exhibition opens on Sept. 10 and runs through Nov. 5. Lord Hall Gallery is open from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Friday and is wheelchair accessible.
Rain date: Oct. 14. On the green by the Cyrus Pavilion Theater between Winslow Hall and Fogler Library. Highmoor Farm, UMaine's center for fruit and vegetable research located in Monmouth, Maine, will be on campus to sell apples and pumpkins.
