Working With Students in Distress Part I and Part II
This presentation/training is intended to help participants become more aware and prepared to deal effectively with students who are struggling and in distress.
Part I of this training covers the basics of Psychological First Aid (developed by Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health Preparedness) and usually goes for 60 minutes with an additional 20 minutes for extended consultation and discussion. The recorded version of Part I can be requested via the link below.
Part II specifically focuses on role-plays to strengthen skills learned in Part I. Part II usually runs for 60 minutes.
