Maine 4-H Days is an annual event, sponsored by the Maine 4-H Foundation, with workshops for youth of all ages and is open to all youth, even those who are not currently affiliated with 4-H. There will be an in-person overnight event with group activities on Friday evening and educational workshops on Saturday.
Featured events include:
Touch Tank: Join UMaine Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research (CCAR) interns to learn about some of Maine’s common sea creatures! Youth will be able to handle and explore and learn about the captivating marine life that thrive in our waters and the extraordinary sea farms that cultivate the locally produced seafood many of us enjoy.
Public Service Project: Join forces with UMaine Extension Homemakers to make a difference in our community. Together, we can create positive change.
Bicycle Safety: Learn essential tips and tricks to stay safe while cycling. Fun and educational for all ages. A bicycle and helmet safety check will be done along with an instructional ride around the fairgrounds.
