The University of Maine Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society (UMaine AFS) will be hosting the 7th Annual Spawning Run 5K. The 5K will take runners along sidewalks and walking trails on campus. The American Fisheries Society is a non-profit, national organization whose mission is to improve the conservation of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals. Proceeds from the run will contribute to our Outreach and Education fund which supports K-12 community outreach, undergraduate scholarships, and professional development opportunities.
