The workshop will showcase evaluation tools to help growers better direct their cleaning and sanitation efforts.
We will discuss concepts during the morning and have a hands-on activity in the afternoon. Chris Callahan, University of Vermont Extension, will share his expertise with farmers and provide tools to evaluate their current equipment from a hygienic design perspective.

10 – Sanitation issues for WBB with Robson Machado, University of Maine
10:45 – Hygienic design evaluation and checklist, and introduction to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for produce safety with Chris Callahan, University of Vermont
Noon – Lunch included.
1 – Small group hands-on evaluation of equipment utilizing the checklist and considering using an SOP with Chris Callahan, Robson Machado, and Lindsay Werner (DACF).
