The Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies is hosting the final installment of their ongoing WGS at Work series for the semester on April 20 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in the Bangor Room of the Memorial Union.
The Workshop on Reproductive Justice will be led by Lindsey Piper (she/her), sexual and reproductive health nurse practitioner and Lead Clinician for Maine Family Planning’s Center for Reproductive Health in Augusta.
After a brief presentation, participants will be led in facilitated small-group discussion to synthesize learning and craft actionable steps to create safer experiences for gender-diverse populations in sexual and reproductive health. We will use a reproductive justice-model to explore bodily autonomy as it relates to sexual and reproductive health and justice.
Cookies and coffee will be provided to attendees.
