The UMS Research and Innovation Speaker Series webinar titled “Transforming Global Change Experience Through DEIJ-Centered Science” will be held on Monday, Nov. 7 at Noon via Zoom.
Dr. Kennedy “Ned” Rubert-Nason, assistant Professor of Chemistry at University of Maine at Fort Kent, will discuss the aims and progress of his Maine Economic Improvement Fund (MEIF) Small Campus Initiative-funded projects, as well as related project work (funded and proposed), from a perspective centered on promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice in science.
Rubert-Nason engages teams of undergraduate students in cutting-edge research and service learning relating to global change ecology through paid and volunteer opportunities.
