The second film in The Right to Food series is Alan Kryszak’s 2022 “Hungry Now.” This documentary premieres Nov. 13 (3 p.m.) at the University of Maine’s Collins Center for the Arts, UMM on Dec. 2, and on PBS/Maine Public Television soon after. Filmed in Coastal and Downeast Maine over a 2 year period, including Eastport, Lubec, Machias, Milbridge,
Jonesport, Aroostook County and Bangor, “Hungry Now” explores the twisted path from a child in food insecurity to a homeless adult, along with the “helpers” who intercede at all stages of a human life.
