Topic: Savory Jellies and Jams
Herbs, sweet and hot peppers, onions, and garlic can all be preserved in jams in jellies, which make unique treats in the dark of winter. These spreads will warm up your hearty winter fare as a glaze on meats or as an appetizer served with soft cheese. Come learn about the versatility of savory jams and jellies with this hands-on class from University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff and Master Food Preserver volunteers. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of savory jelly/jam. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
