The Right to Read shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher and two American families working to provide our youngest generation with a foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring experts from the College of Education and Human Development’s School of Learning and Teaching. Co-hosted by the School of Learning and Teaching and the Maine Department of Education.
