The Center for Undergraduate Research is hosting a talk by Dr. Allan Butterfield titled “Mentoring of Undergraduate Students” on Dec. 7 from noon–1 p.m. at Hill Auditorium in Barrows Hall.

Butterfield is a professor of biological chemistry at the University of Kentucky and a UMaine alum — Class of 1968. He is the 1998 recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring, as well as the 2014 recipient of the Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine Mentoring Excellence Award.
