On Oct. 1 at 7 p.m., current MHC undergraduate fellow Bell Gellis Morais will be hosting a staged play reading of “In McClintock’s Corn” by Carolyn Gage, presented in the Black Box Theatre, Class of 1944 Hall. “In McClintock’s Corn” is set in a cornfield, and is about gender-non-conforming, neurodivergent geneticist Barbara McClintock and her companion/partner Harriet Creighton, and McClintock’s revolutionary quest to understand diversity in nature and to reframe “deviance” as an expression of natural variance. All are welcome to attend.
