Presented by Sara Flanagan, assistant professor of special education, for the College of Education and Human Development’s School of Learning and Teaching Research Brown Bag series. To best understand K-5 general and special education teachers’ reading instructional and assessment practices for students with and without dyslexia, 346 teachers completed a survey. Additionally, 45 teachers participated in follow-up interviews to better understand their needs teaching reading. This brown bag will share a portion of the results and discuss how those may inform teacher preparation.
