Each year the Department of Art hosts a professional sculptor as part of the Littlefield Gallery Sculptor-in-Residence Program. This year’s Sculptor-in-Residence will be Mark Pettegrow, UMaine Class of 1981. While on campus Oct. 17–20, Pettegrow will visit students in Associate Professor of Art Greg Ondo’s sculpture studio, deliver a public presentation, and make plans with the department for permanently installing one of his artworks on campus.
Pettegrow’s presentation, titled “Ebb, Flow and Flame: Selected Work From the Studio, 2016–2022,” will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Lord Hall 100. It is open to the public.
