The Collins Center for the Arts is going to the dogs (and cats and maybe bunnies) on March 7, when it plays host to the annual Concert for a Cause put on by the School of Performing Arts to raise money for the Bangor Humane Society.
The University of Maine Concert Band has been partnering with Leonard Middle School since 2018 for “Concert for a Cause.” Each year, the two ensembles combine and invite another area ensemble to share the stage. This year, Reeds Brook Middle School will be joining the performance, which traditionally benefits a local charity.
Admission to this event is free, but donations are accepted, with all proceeds going to the Bangor Humane Society (animal lovers take note — expect a few special appearances from some very special furry friends over the course of the evening).
