The upcoming colloquium for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, taking place on Feb. 22 from 3–4:15 PM in Hill Auditorium at Barrows hall, will feature assistant professor of mathematic Jane Wang.
Her talk will be on “The Illumination Problem,” which asks the following: given a room with mirrors for walls, can we always place a single point light source somewhere in the room so that the whole room is illuminated?
