University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a workshop about canning and preserving strawberry jam on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. at the Caswell Farm, 120 Whitney Rd, Gray.
Participants will learn how to prepare and preserve strawberry jam, including methods for using less sugar. The instructor will teach safe preservation techniques for strawberries using both the boiling water bath canning method and freezing. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of homemade jam. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
