The Department of Modern Languages and Classics will be hosting a book presentation on Sept. 29 from 5–6:30 p.m. in the Arthur St. John Hill Auditorium in Barrows Hall. It’s a presentation of a facsimile edition of “Ajy Tojen”, which reproduces the twelfth issue of “El Corno Emplumado/The Plumed Horn” by the Chilean-Peruvian poet Raquel Jodorowsky. She traced an oniric and magic-realist poetic work that marked an essential connection between the American beat generation and the Latin American avant-garde. The book will be presented by José Garay Boszeta, editor in chief of Dulzorada Press, an organization dedicated to the publication of classic and contemporary Latin American literature and poetry in English translation.
