The University of Maine Police Department will be conducting an active shooter training exercise on Tuesday March 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the East Annex building. Students from the Eastern Maine Community College Criminal Justice Program will serve as role players. Sound effects such as electronically simulated gunfire and yelling may be heard coming from inside. Signs will be posted around the building indicating that police training is in progress.
