Solar Eclipse Viewing

While here in Maine we will be unable to see a total solar eclipse, we will be able to see about 60% of the sun's disk covered by the moon. These events are very rare to see without travel, so make sure to mark it on your calendar. Join Black Bear football at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 for the annual Meet the Black Bears youth football clinic at Alfond Stadium. Clark Observatory Dedication

Members of the UMaine community are invited to attend the dedication of the new Clark Observatory on Friday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
