Presidential Search Open Listening Sessions — Faculty

September 13, 2017 @ 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm

Members of the UMaine community are invited to help the Presidential Search Committee understand the opportunities and challenges facing UMaine  and to provide input about the characteristics needed in the next President. Input from many constituents is needed to help describe the position and set criteria for  reviewing applications. All university community members are encouraged to attend.

The Search Committee for the UMaine President has been appointed and is beginning its work.  The Search Committee is chaired by Trustee Gregory Johnson. Members of the committee will receive a report of input from the campus listening sessions and may attend open sessions to hear input directly as their schedules allow.

Shelly Storbeck of Storbeck/Pimental has been engaged to assist the search as a consultant. She and her associate, Ethan Dubow, will be on campus Sept. 13–15 to conduct a site visit including listening sessions with constituents.  The Search Committee will have its first meeting on Sept. 15.
