Nineteenth-Century Black Politics in Maine: Historical Research and Legacies (online)

Mary Freeman, assistant professor in the Department of History, will present a panel discussion on 19th Century Black Politics in Maine, occurring on Zoom on July 22 at 6 p.m. Hosted by the Maine Historical Society and sponsored by the McGillicuddy Humanities Center, the event is free and open to the public. Titled “Nineteenth-Century Black Politics in Maine: Historical Research and Legacies,” the event is a panel discussion featuring Freeman, Pamela Cummings (President of the Committee to Restore the Abyssinian Meeting House), Bob Greene (Journalist and Independent Scholar), and Van Gosse (Franklin and Marshall University).
