Marine Ecosystems that Trump Climate Change: Seas of Good News in an Ocean of Worry

July 26, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Bob Steneck, professor in the School of Marine Sciences, says that despite challenges that marine ecosystems face because of climate change, it’s “too early to write the obituary for our marine ecosystems.” His talk will highlight numerous success stories.

This discussion is part of the DMC science seminar series. “Connecting people to the ocean” is the theme of the free, public talks scheduled for Fridays through Aug. 16. Faculty, students and alumni of UMaine’s School of Marine Sciences will lead discussions.
