Join students, faculty, and staff from colleges, community colleges, and high schools across the state for a high-energy, hands-on, life-changing one-day event. Students will have a forum to learn and discuss how food accessibility and food waste are long-time companions in the hunger equation. They will learn from subject experts about hunger, waste, and climate change, and have the opportunity to participate in a cooking challenge, pre-conference gleaning, and campus tours.
All registrants will receive a separate email regarding the Tuesday, Sept. 26, pre-conference gleaning event and the cooking challenge.
At the close of the conference, there will be the opportunity for students to learn how to apply for grants for campus projects that address food security/climate change on their campus or in their community. Grant funding requires attendance at the conference.
