Journal Launch — Spire: The Maine Journal of Conservation and Sustainability

Members of the university community are invited to attend a celebration of the launch of Spire: The Maine Journal of Conservation and Sustainability on Thursday, May 4.
This celebration of Spire’s first issue will take place from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. in the Hudson Museum. Food and beverages will be provided, and there will be a serviced cash bar at the event.
Spire is a student-run, interdisciplinary online journal at the University of Maine. The inaugural issue will feature work from a range of disciplines, including Biology and Ecology, Folklore, Climate Science, Art, English, Graphic Design, Nursing, Photography, and Forest Resources. To learn more, visit Spire’s website.
In conjunction with the event, the Hudson Museum will be displaying a fine art photography exhibit by the Maine Woods National Park Photo-Documentation Project, whose work will also be featured in Spire’s first edition. To learn more about the artists, visit their website.
