Growing Hemp in Maine (Brewer*)
March 6 @ 8:30 am - 4:45 pm
Interest in hemp production has increased significantly with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. Hemp can be grown to produce grain, fiber, and medicinal products.
There are specific rules and licensing requirements that affect the production of this crop in the State of Maine. At this conference, we will be discussing newly changed licensing requirements/regulations, production, pest management, harvest, drying, and processing, as well as potential markets and economics of the crop. Come learn the latest on regional research and network with others either currently growing or planning to grow this crop.
Cost (includes refreshments and lunch):
- $50 per person early registration before February 7
- $75 per person after February 7
