Food Preservation Demo (Old Town)

June 23 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Cooperative Extension for an evening of hands-on food preservation methods as we preserve that Maine kitchen staple, rhubarb. Participants will get some hands-on experience with preserving rhubarb by three different methods: water bath canner, freezing and drying.

Laurie Bowen is a community education assistant with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. She works as a food system program assistant, providing food preservation workshops as well as Cooking For Crowds, a food safety training for volunteers.
