The Escher String Quartet

September 24 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Acclaimed for its profound musical insight and rare tonal beauty, The Escher Quartet takes its name from Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher, inspired by Escher’s method of interplay between individual components working together to form a whole.

The program is as follows:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — Quartet in B-flat Major, K. 458 “Hunt”
Thomas Ades — Arcadiana for String Quartet
Edvard Grieg — Quartet in g minor, Op. 27

After the concert, you are invited to attend the unveiling of Mina, a sculpture by Andres von Huene. The sculpture, created in association with The Littlefield Gallery Sculptor-in-Residence Program, will reside in the lobby at the Collins Center.

Following the dedication there will be a reception where attendees can mingle with the Escher musicians and others in attendance.
