The Role of ‘Heritage’ in River Restoration: A Case Study of the Taunton River in Massachusetts

Brian Payne, associate professor of history at Bridgewater State University, will deliver a lecture titled “The Role of ‘Heritage’ in River Restoration: A Case Study of the Taunton River in Massachusetts.”

Part of the History Department’s 2018–19 Symposium Series and one of the Spring 2019 Sustainability Talks of the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions, event co-sponsors, the lecture is free and open to the public. It is also supported in part by a grant from the Cultural Affairs/Distinguished Lecture Series Fund.
