“Life, the University and Everything: My Romp Across Disciplines in Pursuit of Answers,” a talk by Isaac Record, an assistant professor of practice at Lyman Briggs College, Michigan State University.
Isaac Record directs the Collaborative Experiential Learning Laboratory (CELL) at Michigan State University and teaches courses in philosophy of science, science and technology studies, and critical making. His research seeks to situate our epistemic and ethical circumstances within a network of values, capabilities, and material and social technologies. Record holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto, and two bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and in computer engineering from the University of Maine.
