A presentation on the University of Maine’s cutting-edge research and development of green energy and materials.
Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School Kody Varahramyan will provide welcoming remarks. UMaine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy will introduce Habib Dagher, founding executive director of the Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC), who will present on large-scale additive manufacturing and offshore wind energy. Additional speakers include James Anderson, Kimberly Huguenard, Douglas Gardner and Anthony Viselli.
An optional tour of the ASCC will be held at 3:45 p.m. or immediately following the presentations. The tour will include the world’s largest 3D printer; 3Dirigo, the world’s largest 3D printed boat; and offshore wind energy technology.
