Field tour to Howland Research Forest to discuss carbon and methane monitoring. The Center for Research on Sustainable Forests are hosting a third year of its popular webinar and field tour series. In 2022–2023 the series is focused on case studies in adaptive forest management under the changing climate at sites throughout Maine. Panelists will include researchers, scientists, and stakeholders who will address the scope and scale of climate issues in the state, active management strategies, wildlife/biohabitat concerns, and how climate change is influencing Maine’s forests and forest economy.
