In his lecture titled “Healing Our Democracy,” Senator George J. Mitchell will examine various economic, social and political factors that are contributing to the high level of polarization and frustration evident in America. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999. Senator Mitchell is the author of six books, including, “The Negotiator: A Memoir” and his latest book, “A Path to Peace: A Brief History of Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations and a Way Forward in the Middle East.”
