A day-long extravaganza of gardening workshops

- Chainsaw Safety and Basic Operation
Learn to prune fruit trees with Renae Moran, University of Maine tree fruit specialist. A one-hour lecture will be followed by a demonstration in the orchard and a chance to prune apple, peach, pear and plum trees. Please bring your own pruning tools and lunch. After lunch, there will be a grafting demonstration. For more information, visit our website.
Australian-born artist Ruth Marshall creates life-size pelts of various animals using colored wool yarn.
Free admission for 2012 is generously provided by Machias Savings Bank in memory of Ted Leonard.
The museum is wheelchair accessible.

The SkyLase series brings rock music and star stories illustrated by laser animations, sweeping patterns and full-dome video to the Jordan Planetarium dome daily. Star legends and classic rock and roll favorites, include single premiere artists or theme playlists in each show.
Tickets available for advance purchase at Jordan Planetarium on the Orono campus, and by mail. Seating is limited to 30 seats. All programs approx. 40 minutes.
