Hancock County Master Gardener Volunteer Training

Friday mornings (8:30 – noon) from January 27th to May 4th, 2012 (plus 2 Saturdays), an intensive training in horticulture, focusing on growing fruits and vegetables. The purpose of the Master Gardener program is to provide horticultural training to prepare you to do gardening-related volunteer work in the local community. After completing the training, you are expected to volunteer at least 40 hours within one year on an already established project.
Deadline to apply is Wednesday January 4th, 2012. Sliding scale course fee, some scholarships available.
